Review: Despite how nice they look these are AWFUL to work with. There is no way of clamping these with one hand (something my Irwin clamps are Excellent at!), as you have to hold the sliding bar firmly with one hand before you pull the ratchet lever, which requires another hand. If you haven't got full pressure on the workpiece they simply don't clamp at all! The lever Only works to set the clamp, and cannot be used to bring the jaws closer and closer until they meet. Also they ratchet should allow you to decide how much pressure to apply, but if they aren't completely locked on they will fall off. This means you can't clamp lightly unless you can hold the bar at the Exact place... BESSEY, this is Ridiculous! These simply don't work as woodworking clamps should, you ought to be ashamed of yourselves for releasing this product to market! I thought Bessey was a reputable company, but this has me baffled. Try as I might I cannot get on with them. When I have found a place to use them if I leave them clamped for any length of time they will come undone and fall off the workpiece! My first clamps were Rolson (rubbish), and they worked better than this!!! I don't know what they were thinking when they made these, but it wasn't woodworking. I'm going to sell mine and replace them with something better as they are a waste of space in my workshop. Look great, but don't work properly!
