Review: After using this product a few times I was dissappointed. Although advertized as a coarse file I found it to be finer than metal chainsaw files sold at Home Depot, and as such I felt that the metal files took off more material than this diamond file. The diamond file seems to clog easily although a scrubbing with an abraisive detergent renders the surface of the file like new. Obviously this file is for fine adjustment sharpening and not for resharpening teeth that have been damaged by a nail or hitting sand or a pebble in the wood. For this an electric chainsaw sharpener would be a better choice. Also the plastic handle seems flimsy. Although the manufacturer states that this product should be used without applying too much pressure, I get the impression that the handle could break if too much pressure is applied when filing a tooth. I am not going to throw this file away, and perhaps my less than optimal experience with this file will improve over time, but in the meantime my recommendation is to is to stick with your metal files for fine adjustment sharpening and to use an electric grinder sharpener when the saw teeth require more attention.

Review: I love DMT sharpening stones but this is s***. stick with traditional files. Used it once, all the abrasive diamonds came off. Couldn't even sharpen one chain, WTF. Pros: none Cons: Its s***.
