Review: I needed a padlock for the shed and chose this one as I did not, at the time have the shed built, and did not know the correct size I would need. This padlock was perfect it turns out and the addition of the long shank not only makes it easy to fit on almost any locking area, but it makes it so much better when you have to lift up the lock to get the key inside. So much easier to manipulate than a standard padlock. I would highly reccomend this padlock for many and various uses, and as it seems sturdy and weatherproof, it has a variety of uses in our security conscious era!

Review: This was bought to replace a "Master" brand padlock that had lasted four years before failure in all-weather outdoor conditions. I was attracted to the Draper brand as that company has a good reputation for the quality of its tools of which I have bought many in the past and have been satisfied. Unfortunately, the padlock is rubbish. Despite its description as "weatherproof", it readily allows the ingress of rainwater into its internal workings and took just three months to seize solid due to corrosion. I managed to free it up with a liberal spray of WD40 but have no confidence that this inferior product will last even through the forthcoming winter. Encasing the body of the padlock in plastic makes no difference if the design allows water to flow freely through the lock as this does! My advice is to spend more and buy an alternative product as I fear I shall have to do shortly!
