Review: Bought this by mistake looking for polyurethane varnish. First off this is described as a hard-wearing interior varnish yet nowhere here does it mention that the varnish must not be used on wood flooring. Is listed under limitations on the tin, very misleading. Also can't help but speculate that it can't be used on flooring because it's not actually nearly as hard-wearing as claimed. Secondly the product nowhere indicates what it actually consists of, but it behaves much like watered down PVA and smells identical to my acrylic leather finish so there's some clues. The only way it differs from watered down PVA is the way it turns to pure froth when it contacts wood (although come to think of it my acrylic finisher does froth too so this is probably just overpriced acrylic). So any edges, corners, imperfections and depressions will collect thick froth that dries into a solid lump of tiny cream coloured bubbles. You can try removing them before it dries but bear in mind it's an extremely quick drying varnish and every time you remove froth from one edge you apply it to another. Dried froth does not sand well either. I managed to salvage my piece by airbrushing stain over the froth.
