Review: Though we have two cameras outside of our property, we didn’t have any inside, so I was keen to try out this Link2Home model. And I’m so glad that I did because this is amazing! I knew it was going to be a good product when we sailed through the setting up process and had it all installed, App and all, in a matter of minutes. Placing this in the living room, we connected it to one of our consoles, and instantly it was recording. Best of all, the clarity of this small camera is simply perfect both during the day and with night vision. We use this in our living room to mostly keep an eye on the dogs when no one is home (our husky is a bit of a Mummy’s boy and isn’t keen on being left alone for long periods and so howls now and then!) When I see them getting a little stressed out, I simply hold the microphone button on my app and speak to them through the camera! The Link2Home Pro app is also immensely practical and offers a range of choices here including playback mode, gallery mode, cloud access, and additional features. You can also see the temperature and humidity of the room at any given time. I have several Alexa’s around the home and understand that this camera can also be linked to them, which I will at some point do. However, for now, the app is all I really need. For me, it’s the perfect camera for the living room as an extra security measure and for checking on the dogs. Yet, I can also see this as being fantastic in offering peace of mind to parents as a baby monitor (something which I would have jumped at the chance to have when my children were all babies!) I really can’t fault this camera and can’t recommend it enough. This is such a fantastic low price for a camera that you can set up to work straight from the box and one that offers so much more in the way of additional features.

Review: The Link 2 Home camera comes with an instruction manual with writing so small I can't read it, even with my glasses on. In the end I resorted to searching for a manual online only to discover the Link 2 Home website doesn't have a manual either, you are directed to the App. It didn't tell me which App to download but fortunately there is a Link 2 Home Pro App in the Google play store. In the meantime, the camera would not turn on so I put it on charge over night. The light flashed red and I expected it to be green in the morning but it was still flashing red. In the morning I looked for an instruction manual on my app but it required me to add my device, which in itself was quite tricky given the plethora of other devices available. The one it showed didn't look like mine pictorially but it was the closest I could find. However, as I can't seem to charge my device I can't pair it anyway. What really foxes me is the camera comes with a usb to micro usb cable, which means it's designed to connect to a PC but the box indicates that it's designed for tablets and smartphones. So now I'm stuck and unsure how to proceed. Of course, there is a way forward but is this a good look for an electronics company? Absolutely not. Poor instructions and a poor website are not a good start. I'm also worried about the user agreement which hasn't been updated since 2017 and says your data may be stored at other locations in the world without specifying what they are.
