Description: Magna Muros Magnet Paint is a water-based, lead free, emulsion paint. It turns virtually any smooth flat surface into a magnetic work or play area; perfect for use in the classroom, home or office. It paints on just like a normal emulsion or primer. We recommend that you use a minimum of three coats. Once dry you can paint over it with any emulsion colour of your choice or Magna Muros's dry-wipe paint, Sketch Paint.

Review: The media could not be loaded. I brought this paint for use with these magnets. https://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B07QKWBS4S/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o00_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1 I must admit, I put the first coat on and thought it wasnt very strong, but then followed the instructions to do 3 and then 4 coats, and the strength is really strong! Its not the easiest paint to apply, and you really need a strong stick/screw driver to continuously stir the paint so the filings inside the paint stay at the top of the pot, but its really great! You can sand down and smooth the paint, so its smooth enough to paint a final colour coat of paint over the top.

Review: An 'it's okay' star rating is, perhaps, slightly unfair, as it does what it says it will and the result is fine - if rather rough. And that's the slight downside. I put on three layers and was happy that the magnetism of the surface was efficient - you need to do a lot of stirring to ensure all the iron filings are dispersed throughout the liquid before attempting to use it - but, of course, the very nature of applying iron filings to a smooth, flat surface will inevitably result in a course, rough surface when finished - and I was loathe to sand it too much between layers, as it's the filings that fall away! Afterwards, I had to prime it with white and then paint two or three layers of the coloured paint to cover the dark, grey colour of the magnetic paint, and the result is pretty textured, but it looks good with all the magnetic letters and numbers on it! It works, and I'm happy with it. When applying, stir REALLY well and be prepared for your little foam roller to get very heavy, as it fills up with paint containing metal. It dries pretty quickly, so don't hang around - finish each layer before having a pause.
