Review: To be honest I had ordered another and much pricier pipe cutter but they sent me 28mm and not 8mm ! I sent that back and looked at the alternatives and this looked the best of the rest ! I bought it to cut off six 40 year old radiator valves to be replaced with more modern (Drayton) ones, the snag was I didn't want to drain the whole heating system, just the radiator I was working on at the time. Without going into all the details I was using a 'pipe freezer aerosol' to freeze the 8mm pipe that went to the valve, then when it was frozen I needed to cut the pipe as quickly as possible and attach the new valve. I normally would have hacksawed and then used a file etc on the pipe, but because the pipe was frozen (supposed to last about 15 mins frozen) I didn't want to take any chances of flooding the house, so I opted for this pipe cutter, so I could work as fast as possible. It worked extremely well, and I had the old valve off and the new one on in about 5 minutes (first one took about 7 minutes) but of course I made sure I had everything to hand first. So it worked perfectly for me, but please remember I only cut 6 pipes, so I can't comment on how long it would last long term, I will have to leave that to someone else to comment on.
