Review: WOW these things are awsome ! My bath mat got all grotty and I was looking for a new one and saw these. I read hundreds of reviews and still with some trepidition decided to give them a go. I made sure the bath was squeeky clean with mildew cleaner and totaly dry, Then pressed them on "hard" 2/3rds of the bath and left them to set for 48 hours. NB: They do say can be used straight away, but I thought why take the chance of peeling. They are brillient! Totaly non-slip and I feel so much more stable on my feet than with the old bath mat, which could slip on those little suckers. Even when using all the usual products like oils and cleansers us ladies need, they still make me feel very secure and stable. Easy to clean and not one has moved or peeled in the last week of daily showers. Even with alot of hopping about on one leg when shaving :) The discs are smaller than I thought they would be, but there are loads and loads on the roll, and I have some left over. The colour is an off-white, but looks fine in the bath. I am very happy and would highly recommend these for a safer, sure footed shower . :)

Review: I'm not sure what the previous owner of my house was thinking when he or she decided that very smooth, glossy tiles would make a good kitchen floor surface. Perhaps they didn't consider the possibility that in a room where there's a lot of potential for water to end up on the floor, from doing the washing up to accidental spillages to condensed steam from pans full of boiling water etc., that such a slippery surface just might not be the best for walking on. Maybe they only ever used the kitchen with a gigantic rubber mat covering the entire floor, because that's the only way it's safe to walk on. The slightest bit of moisture on the floor or on the bottom of your feet turns the floor into a deadly trap more slippery than black ice, lower in friction than a polytetrafluoroethylene-coated pan lightly covered in sunflower oil. The fact that both my partner and myself are still alive and not seriously injured boggles the mind, such has been the number of slips and near falls we've had as a result of this ridiculously hazardous floor surface. I thought these anti slip discs would be the answer. Something that's "Recommended for use on steps, patios, garage floors, decking areas, emergency staircases, apartment staircases and access ramps." would surely be sticky enough to use on a smooth, flat, dry surface such as the aforementioned kitchen floor. I followed the instructions to the letter; made sure the floor was very clean, dry and warm before applying the discs. I vacuumed the floor and cleaned it well with floor cleaner; rinsed it with plain water and dried it with towels; stuck the central heating and an electric heater on for a few hours to ensure the surface was over 10 degrees celsius (checked with a thermometer) as per the instructions. I then spent the next half an hour crawling along with a hair drier on full blast just to make sure the floor was that little bit warmer and completely dry, applying the discs as I went along. I pressed them down firmly with my thumbs, pressing from the centre outwards to get rid of any trapped air bubbles. I then left them for 48 hours as per the instructions (although it says 'can be used straight away', it also says the adhesive is fully bonded after 48 hours, so I left it for that length of time just to be on the safe side). During that 48 hours I hardly went into the kitchen, didn't cook anything, didn't step on the discs, didn't boil the kettle, didn't turn the tap on, didn't do anything that might get the floor wet or dislodge any of the discs. Well I wish I hadn't bothered being so careful now, as at least four of the discs have moved and are no longer sticky. I seriously doubt any of them will stay put. Considering that this product supposedly "can be used indoors or outdoors" you'd think it would have a stronger adhesive on it. Sadly, the adhesive qualities of these discs are only slightly greater than those of my wet kitchen floor.
