Review: One of the controls didn't make it to the photos: there's a three-state switch for off/medium airflow/high airflow at the back where you hold it, and also a turning knob for setting the temperature on the side. It can be laid down stable on its back between uses, so that the nozzle points upwards, not accidentally burning the surface underneath. Comes with a few accessories that can be attached to the nozzle, I found the protector quite useful, and a shavehook/scraper is also included. Comes in a plastic case. Very good quality for the price, definitely recommended. I used it to remove stubborn wallpaper paste from the wall. Make sure you wear gloves and never touch the tip, even when switched off, it can be extremely hot.

Review: I bought this heat gun in June 2017 but only today have I opened the box to use it. My last one, also a Black and Decker, died just as I was finishing a job and I've had no need of one until today. To my surprise, and great disappointment, it lasted all of 5 seconds before becoming virtually silent. The heating element continued working but no hot air came forth, and I was left holding what was nothing more than an electric fire. I quickly realised this not to be a good idea. As I say, greatly disappointed, and a feeling of being robbed. The lesson is to always test a new item to make sure it works. I will now be ordering a new item, as now I need one. Rest assured it won't be a Black and Decker. From hereon I shall avoid theirs. I fancy one of the VonHaus heat guns, if only if because last year I bought a garden vac made by the firm and I have been very impressed with it. Nevertheless, I will test it on arrival
