Review: These spring compressors saved me a lot of money with replacing my Fiesta front springs. Some tips which I hope will help people after some head scratching of my own! If you need to compress the springs in-place without removing the strut, but are having trouble with the threads going to far up then cut some copper tubing or other tubing to length and place it under the lower clamp / hex driver. This enables you to compress the spring without loads of thread sticking out the top and getting stuck. Cover all of the clamp in a few layers of gaffa / duct tape to prevent scratching the coating on the coils. This is definitely needed to prevent damaging the coating and rusting of the springs. And as suggested in another review I heavily greased the threads which has helped out a lot. Enjoy!
