Review: As someone who was about to start a city and guilds training course on working with chainsaws I thought to err on the side of caution and purchase a protective jacket along with other appropriate PPE. n.b. HSE guidelines state that a class 1 jacket is not necessary. This jacket is comfortable to wear and would keep you warm on a cold day while you went for a walk. However, my instructor took one look at it and told me that it was "completely impractical". I decided to try and use it while working. I lasted 10 minutes before having to take it off. It is far too bulky and heavy to be helpful, but more importantly I was completely overheating whilst using it in freezing conditions! "Completely impractical" is a perfect description. If all you want to do is slowly slice up logs for firewood then perhaps it is a viable option. If you are active in forestry (felling many trees) then it is a close to useless!
