Review: Very nice twin pack at a crazy cheap price. I needed the convex plane rather than the concave one and the only others out there are very costly indeed. So I got this twin pack. For rough and semi fine shaping of solid guitar bodies the convex plane is excellent it feels good in the hand and the blade holds an edge for a suitably long time taking into account wood types. I've also been using the concave shave for some neck work and for rough shaping the external body curves - I also use a strait shave for that and now prefer the concave one. Hand tools let me work longer in to the evening than my power tools which annoy the neighbours and are restricted to working hours use. I have no complaints with these at all, Nice price, Effectively useable and confortable for some fairly long sessions of work, and the fact that I'm finding both planes of use rather than just the one I wanted is a serious bonus.

Review: Bought these two because they seemed a real good deal for two spokeshaves especially being real convex and concave which I really wanted. Arrived promptly and well package. The problem arose when I took out the concave blade to sharpen it I notice that there were areas of burnt on the blade edge, quite a lot of brown and both edges were blue! The concave was fine but had to return because the blade would have been useless! However no quibbles ... complaint dealt with promptly and postage form provided. cant complain about customer services... shame about the spokeshaves
