Review: Like with just about anything in Amazon, you have reviews that claim the product is/does what it's supposed to be and reviews saying that it absolutely isn't/doesn't. What gives? So I figured I'll buy this square and if it isn't square I'll be angrily retuning it to Amazon. It just arrived, I measured from 40 cm to 60 cm ends, and used the formula of C (sq) = A (sq) + B(sq) formula. It's SQUARE! I then used a digital caliper (in case my tape measure measurements aren't accurate) from 10 cm to 11.8, and it was dead on 90 degrees after solving the above. If there is some level of inaccuracy, its so small that I am unable to detect it. So if you are wondering if this square is square (rectangular), because of the mixed reviews, you now know that it is. Btw, Amazon was the seller of the one I bought, not one of the 3rd party sellers here. Also, the writing on it is edged in, not painted, so you don't have to worry about it rubbing off.

Review: Heavy and solidly built. Not perfectly square, about 0.5mm out over the short side and internal and external are slightly different. But wow, what a bugger to try and adjust. Hammering away with a punch, cutting a tiny slot, drilling a hole......this thing will not budge. I suppose 1mm/m isn't too bad for landscaping and rough work.
