Review: Bought to replace a leaking basic version where the plastic had deteriorated. Much better quality. Only minor downside is the valve lock seems to be designed for a right handed person so us quite fiddly for a left hander

Review: The media could not be loaded. I bought this Gardena lance after several successive Hozelock ones developed leaks within a few weeks of use. It arrived and I thought it was good: balanced and fairly lightweight, good sprinkler rose, and easy to operate with one hand. It was overwintered in the garage - bearing in mind that Gardena say this is frost proof, so that shouldn't really be necessary. I've now set the hose up for the new season and the lance is pouring water from within the handle/valve - just the same as all the Hozelock ones. Cold wet hands once again whilst doing the watering! This lance is billed as a premium product and the price reflects this at £38. I expect it to last for much longer than one season. I have contacted Gardena customer services directly as it purportedly carries a 5 year warranty. No response so far... Not as good as I might have hoped :-(
