Review: The battery lasted a good while whilst camping. Even when used on full beam . I got a spare battery as they were half price on their website . You can use a AA but the out put is decreased . Plus it doesn't last half as long . But good fir an emergency

Review: 2 white light settings, 20 lumens or 400 lumens, dim or very bright, keeps things simple, press button for 3-seconds to activate the red function, to protect your night vision, red light stops your pupils contracting like they do with white light. The magnetic charging system is a mixed blessing, while it's quick and easy to connect the magnetic lead, and there's no socket hole on the torch to let in water, the connector isn't universal like the USB C, if you forget or lose the lead, it's a real problem, I've got the Led Lenser H7R, which also has magnetic charging, but has a different connector on the charge lead, which doesn't fit the MH5. The £65-MRP on this headtorch, doesn't seem realistic, but it is well made and when registered, it'll have a 7 -year warranty, I paid £28.60, for that, it's a decent little torch, a simple carry pouch would be a nice touch, especially when you consider Led Lenser's recommended price.
