Review: Master Lock 7804EURD Laminated Padlock ================================= Whilst this lock is surprisingly only a 4 pin tumbler padlock, it is beautifully encased with a thick beefy plastic outer casing, good build quality on the inner body and a really good bottom cover protecting the key access itself from water ingress. This is the european model so it does use the security pins which means it will be harder to pick, almost impossible to rake, shim or comb (alas almost no effort for skilled lockpickers picking this), but these locks are usually broken by the bad guys via manual methods like angle grinder etc We still have a weatherproof 9 pin Master lock coming up to 13 or so years old (and still going strong), and the outer encasements and cap on this item looks way superior too. Currently selling between £6 - £8 when purchased (depending on the seller) - if you're looking for a good weatherproof lock for shed etc this is a great choice. As with all outdoor locks, be sure to keep them oiled to increase their lifespan. If security is a big concern, there are better Master models with better armored bodies and shackles, like their Pro Series, (and a bigger price tag), as well as Abus padlocks which are extremely hard to pick.
