Review: I bought this Portwest peaked bump cap in orange to wear during my voluntairy work with a local private railway and orange Hi-Vis clothing is worn by railway workers. It fits well with more than adequate hook and loop adjustment. The cap comprises two parts, the outer orange fabric cover with peak and the inner ABS skull cap. The cover is actually a hi-vis baseball cap which could be worn on its own if bump protection isn't required. The skull cap has ventilation holes and a panel of hight density foam padding on the internal and external surfaces for extra protection. The skull cap simply fits inside the fabric cover and is securred by the wide hem inside the base of the cover. I assume the skull cap is removeable so the cover can be washed if necessary. It certainly isn't a full on hard hat but it will save my noggin from knocks and bumps as intended. I'm very pleased with it.

Review: It looks a bit odd when worn the traditional way, you can't wear this outside the workplace because it looks too odd. I bought this for work, but I also wanted wear it outside of work. If you want to look cool and not weird, I would wear it backwards. Seriously. I dunno, maybe I just haven't got used to it. It looked stylish in the photo. I was going to leave a negative review, but it's alright for a cap.... Oh, and I'm sure it already says this in the description, but you can't use this as a replacement for a construction hard hat. In case you're wondering, I will be wearing this bump cap to work on Monday.
