Description: The Ronseal Hardwood Garden Furniture Restorer helps to get your worn grey wood back to its natural colour. It is the best prep you can do before putting on a stain or oil, you will get a much better finish. Its low odour gel formula is safe to use around your plants and pets, so you do not have to worry about splashes. Before you start, get your furniture ready. Use a stiff brush to get rid of any dirt. Firstly, give the tin a good stir, do a test patch to make sure you are going to be happy with the result before applying overall. Generously coat the restorer onto the furniture and then scrub it in with a stiff bristle brush. Leave it to work for 15 minutes, don’t let it dry out, as it won’t work properly, if it does, you will need to put another coat on. You will then need to give it another scrub. Finally, give it a good hose down, you should be able to get the job done with one coat. However, very grey wood may need doing again. If you get any restorer on yourself, wash it off with warm, soapy water. To keep your furniture looking its best, leave it to dry for a day or two. Then protect it with one of our stains or oils. When cleaning up make sure to scrape as much restorer off your tools as you can. Then wash them out in warm, soapy water. Don’t pour any leftover restorer down the drain or into watercourses. Review: Don't expect this to work first time on weathered grey garden furniture. It does warn of this on the tin but I found it hard to leave for the recommended 15 minutes without the product drying out. Once it dries you have to reapply so only work on a small area at a time. You need to really scrub. Buy more than you think you'll need to avoid having to reorder. I resorted to power hosing the chairs after a few hours to get a satisfactory finish. Better results on the table.

Review: Purchased and used for a 4 year old teak garden furniture set that is always sheltered at winter but has lost its natural orangery colour. Having read the mixed reviews on Amazon I was skeptical in purchasing but thought I maybe ‘one of the lucky ones’. One previous review said ‘make sure you follow the instructions, otherwise it won’t work’. With this in mind I started with one chair, the instructions stated to apply, brush with stiff brush and leave for 15 mins (But don’t let it dry out!) and hose off. After applying the solution was drying within a couple of minutes, to which I was in two minds if to leave for 15 mins or hose off..... I tried both methods on 2 chairs, twice..... and made no difference what so ever!? Not sure if this is designed for extreme weathered wood complete grey in colour? Either way, if you want to restore bring back natural colour of your teak garden furniture don’t waste your money on this product instead I’ve purchased Ronseal Teak Outdoor Varnish, and just after one coat the furniture has come back to life! Oh, and at half the price!
