Description: Equipped with non-stick blades and ergonomic softgrip handles, the Wolf Garten RS750 Power Cut loppers have an anvil cutting action which makes them ideal for cutting dead, old or hardier wood. Wolf Garten's Power Cut technology uses leverage and gearing to help minimise the amount of physical effort needed to complete a cut. Power Cut is designed in a star rating system which indicates the amount of power transmission of the mechanism; the higher the star count, the less strength is required to cut the same branch. RS750 loppers are graded with two stars, meaning the cutting force applied by the operator is multiplied threefold. Review: I've got through a few pairs of loppers over the years and hoped that these premium priced loppers would last me years. But within days of getting them, I lopped some roots with a hidden strand of wire which resulted in a huge dent in the blade and now the loppers don't cut cleanly. Yes, some small damage was to be expected but not to the extent experienced. Both the thickness of the blade and the hardening are questionable. Being anvil loppers, this can't be fixed by grinding the blade and so an expensive replacement was required. Otherwise they're nicely made, though.
