Review: Excellent quality handle, bought to replace one which had sheared off in the bathroom. Very quick and easy to fit and a good solid item that feels like it will last a while. The bolt is rather long, but handily has notches at the most common lengths to assist in cutting it down to the right length. I used a good old hacksaw and was through it in no time. The bolt is made of brass, so cuts rather easily. It also comes with some very long bolts to screw it in, but I used the original ones in the window to save time cutting them down too. It comes with a cover to hide the screw that is on show and a blanking module to place in the lock to prevent it being locked (if you so wish). All in all it probably took 10 minutes, including cutting down the bolt. One little [fairly obvious] tip: our original handle fell off as the last part of the window closing was rather stiff, so you had to jerk it hard to shut it fully. After replacing it, I used some WD40 on the hinges and now it shuts beautifully smoothly - shouldn't need to replace it again for some time!

Review: I bought these handles, two left and two right handers for my patio windows and they arrived just last week. They didn't feel as solid as the OEM ones I was replacing but I figured they're Yale, so they must be OK. WRONG! These are built down to a price not up to a standard. I wished I'd read some of the reviews before committing to an order. They are all a bit stiff to use - oddly enough the right handers are worse - needing a lot of pressure on the button to release the catch. I fitted them on Wednesday evening. By Saturday, one catch broke there's a photo here where someone else had the little white bit of plastic break off. On another the lock is reluctant to turn and the third is just uncooperative when you want to open the window. I'm changing all of them as soon as another order (different make) comes through. These are poor quality. Don't be taken in by the name 'Yale' on the packaging. I'll say again Poor Quality and Rubbish!
